Defrosting chicken with 6 1/2 hours until dinner?

There are many things that you can do. Some people will just leave it out in a container on the counter. It takes a while before it is susceptible to viruses. For something a bit quicker, place the chicken in a deep container and fill with room temp. water. Leave out and it should take about 2 hours at the most to defrost completely. You could even take it out of the packaging to speed up the process a bit. Good luck.
