Should i date him or would that be a bad friend?

well theres this guy name shane and we`ve had feelings on and off for each other but recently they were off, and one of my best friends jessie liked him so i said yeh go after him, ill bet he like you and we started hanging out with him more, but when we did we were all kinda drunk , annd i guess me and him kissed & she was there, annd saw, i feel really bad about it i so wouldnt have done it sober please dont give me a lecture on drinkin, anyway so me and him have been talkin and startin to like each other again, but i feel bad cuz shes my best friend and i told her to go after this guy. what should i do :(
