Why are there so many Jews in comedies?

Jews have always had to have a sense of humor to deal with the ridiculous situations their people have endured through the centuries.I think it is a part of their nature to laugh at themselves and life.Watch fiddler on the roof sometime.I think you will see some of that aspect.
